Paintwork protection film – polyurethane-based
- Resistant to scratches, stone chips and wear (prevents corrosion from forming)
- High degree of transparency, i.e. not immediately visible after bonding
- Good resistance to UV
Simple self-assembly and disassembly with overall thickness of 0.2 mm
- Can be stretched without deforming, even around curves and corners
- Non-slip and soundproof
Acrylate adhesive in conjunction with Würth assembly fluid
- Permanent hold (even in car wash facilities)
- Guarantees removal of the paintwork protection film with no residues left behind
- Resistant to heat, cold and petrol
Simple self-assembly:
Before application, thoroughly clean the paint surface to be adhered of grease and dust; remove any paint polish. Lay in a location that is protected from wind, dust and direct sunlight. Only glue Würth paintwork protection film when wet. Do not apply to freshly painted surfaces!
Simple disassembly:
Starting from any corner, the Würth paintwork protection film can be removed in a single piece without leaving any residue. It is advisable to warm the relevant corner slightly with a hair dryer so that it is easier to grip.
Please note that the paintwork protection film must only be used in conjunction with Würth assembly fluid. Only then can optimum assembly, a permanent hold and residue-free removal be guaranteed. Optimum bonding of the film with the substrate is achieved after approx. 48 hours. Until this point, do not attempt to adhere anything or expose the glued paintwork protection film to major stresses (such as car wash facilities, steam jets etc.).
The usage instructions are recommendations based on the tests we have conducted and based on our experience; carry out your own tests before each application. The paintwork protection film can be used on all painted areas (cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles etc.) particularly at risk, e.g. bumpers, bonnets, wheel trims, mudguards, door sills etc.
- 1. Cut the Würth paintwork protection film to the required size. Intended for license plate lights, key holes, fog lights etc. with corresponding cut-outs. First tape over the cut-out for license plate lighting etc., use a pen to mark the cut-out on the paint film, remove the paintwork protection film and cut out the marked hole with scissors.
- 2. Remove the backing paper. Generously moisten the adhesive film side and the paint surface to be glued with Würth assembly fluid (spray bottle). Position the paintwork protection film. The film can be stretched without deforming around curves and corners. Using a blade, spread the assembly fluid in overlapping lines, working from the inside outwards.
- 3. However, if there are still air or water bubbles, remove as much of the paintwork protection film as is necessary, spray again with assembly fluid and repeat the process. With any folds, lightly heat up with a hair dryer and smooth the film using a blade.
